Warm, comforting, and delicious, Crock Pot Chicken and Stuffing is the perfect meal for a chilly day. This dinner recipe is easy to make with simple ingredients and comes together with the help of your slow cooker!
Add sage, black pepper, salt, and onion powder to a small bowl. Mix until well combined. Sprinkle over both sides of the chicken and add to a 6-quart slow cooker.
Top the chicken with stuffing, green beans, celery, and onion.
In a medium bowl, add chicken broth, cream of chicken soup, and sour cream. Mix until well combined. Then, pour over the stuffing and chicken. (Do Not Mix)
Cover and cook on high for about 3½ to 4½ hours or low for 6-7 hours.
Remove chicken and gently stir to combine stuffing and fluff it up.
Serve stuffing over chicken, and enjoy!
Notes
Instead of chicken breast, you can use bone-in chicken breast, chicken thighs, or bone-in chicken thighs.
Turkey tenderloin or turkey breast can also be used in place of chicken.
You can use many different types of dry stuffing mix flavors, including herb, sausage, cornbread, and more!
For a lighter version, use low-fat or fat-free cream of chicken soup and low-fat or fat-free sour cream.
Instead of cream of chicken soup, you can also use cream of mushroom soup, cream of celery, or cream of onion soup.
