Ingredients

  • 3 cups white rice
  • ½ tsp salt
  • 6 cups water

Instructions

  • Spray a 6-quart crock pot with a non-stick cooking spray.
  • Add rice, salt, and water to the crock pot.
  • Cover and cook on high for 1 ½ to 2½ hours.
  • Before serving, fluff with a fork and enjoy!

Notes

  • Although it may seem tedious, rinsing rice is necessary to remove excess starch that can cause stickiness. Place the rice in a fine mesh strainer and rinse it under cold water until it runs clear.
  • You can enhance the flavor of your dish by substituting water with chicken or vegetable broth if desired.
  • For most rice varieties, the standard ratio is 1 cup of rice to 2 cups of water, which you can adjust based on your desired quantity.
