  • In a 6-quart slow cooker add Dr. pepper, BBQ sauce, onion powder, garlic, and black pepper. Mix until well combined.
  • Place chicken in sauce and completely coat.
  • Cover and cook on low for 6-8 hours or on high for 2½-3½ hours.
  • Shred chicken with two forks in the slow cookers and then mix into the sauce.
  • Serve on your favorite buns and enjoy!
