Yes, you read that right. I said “Crock-Pot,” “Lasagna,” and “Ravioli,” all in the same recipe! How could you go wrong? This is a tasty twist on a classic pasta recipe. You and your whole family will be going back to the slow cooker for seconds and thirds of this delicious, easy lasagna.

My eyes light up every time that a recipe starts with Crock-Pot. It just makes things so much easier, especially on busy weeknights! This pasta dinner is basically just combining ingredients in the slow cooker. You will cook your beef and garlic, then add your sauce, tomatoes, and seasonings, to make a perfect meat sauce. Then you just layer this sauce with the ravioli and cheese in the slow cooker. Once you see the top bubbling, it will be ready to enjoy!

    Why You’ll Love This Recipe

    • This ravioli lasagna is a delicious twist on a classic Italian dinner dish.
    • It is SO easy to make.
    • You can use frozen ravioli and store-bought pasta sauce.
    • This lasagna is made in the slow cooker, so all of the work is done in advance.
    • It makes a large batch, making it a perfect family meal.

Ingredients For Your Easy Crockpot Ravioli Lasagna

    • Frozen Cheese Ravioli
    • Olive Oil
    • Garlic
    • Ground Beef
    • Spaghetti Sauce
    • Diced Tomatoes
    • Italian Seasoning
    • Black Pepper
    • Mozzarella Cheese

How To Make Crockpot Lasagna with Ravioli

    1. In a large skillet over medium heat add olive oil and garlic. Brown garlic for 30 seconds and then add ground beef. Completely brown and drain off remaining fat.
    2. Add spaghetti sauce, diced tomatoes, Italian seasoning, and black pepper to the skillet. Stir to combine.
    3. In a 6-quart slow cooker add ⅓ of the sauce to the bottom and layer half of the ravioli over the sauce. Sprinkle 1 cup of cheese over the top and repeat 1 more time.
    4. Evenly spread the remaining sauce over the top and sprinkle the remaining cheese over the sauce.
    5. Cover and cook on low for 3-4 hours.

What to Serve/Pair with Your Crock Pot Lasagna

If your family is anything like mine, they love to pair bread with their pasta dishes. These Breadsticks pair well with just about everything. Add a little garlic butter, and they will taste great with your lasagna. You can even serve them plain and just dip them in the sauce.

Sometimes I also like to pair a salad with this slow cooker lasagna. I especially like this Italian Salad. It is very fresh and light and pairs well with the flavors of the pasta sauce. If you want to follow this slow cooker meal with a dessert, try this Red Velvet Cake. It has a delicious flavor that is not too overbearingly sweet, making it a great pairing with this lasagna.

    Popular Substitutions & Additions

    • For a lower fat content, use ground turkey or ground chicken in place of the ground beef.
    • Instead of plain canned diced tomatoes, you can use Italian style for some extra flavor.
    • For some extra spice, add a dash of crushed red pepper or a tsp of cayenne pepper.

    Storing & Freezing

This Crock Pot Lasagna tastes delicious leftover! Once it has completely cooled, put any leftovers into a sealed, air-tight container. It will last in the fridge for up to 2 days. To reheat your leftovers, put individual portions in the microwave for 2 minutes or until it is warm enough to eat.

You can also freeze this slow-cooker lasagna. Once it is cooled, place your leftovers into a freezer-safe, sealed container, and it will last for up to 6 weeks in the freezer. When you are ready to heat it, thaw it completely in the fridge, then microwave individual portions as directed above.

    FAQ

Can I use beef ravioli instead of cheese ravioli?

Sure! I prefer the cheese because there is already beef added to the sauce, but if you want something that is a little heartier, feel free to go with the beef ravioli.

Do I have to use mozzarella?

I recommend mozzarella for this recipe because I like the way that it melts and the way the flavor pairs with the sauce, but if you have a different kind on hand that you want to use, then you can switch it out. Just make sure that it is a type of cheese that will melt well in the slow cooker.

Do I need to line my slow cooker?

I always recommend either lining your slow cooker or spraying it with non-stick cooking spray prior to using it. It makes cleanup much easier, I promise!

What kind of meat can I use instead of ground beef?

You can substitute ground sausage, such as Italian-style, or breakfast sausage, like Jimmy Dean. Another option is to use frozen meatballs, with a small bag of around 20 ounces, which can extend your recipe and serve more people.
