Slow Cooker Dinner Recipes FAQs
I find that moving the frozen leftovers to the refrigerator is the best way to thaw them. Do so the day/night before you plan to enjoy them. Reheating will depend on the recipe and how it was stored. If it has a gravy, I recommend a saucepan over low heat. For single servings of meatballs or chicken, the microwave will work just fine!
Of course! You can chop certain veggies like peppers and onions ahead of time, and also brown ground meat to save you time. I wouldn't do this more than 24 hours in advance to keep the ingredients as fresh as possible.
If you are preparing a recipe to portion and enjoy through the week, ensure that it cools completely before you transfer it to storage containers to avoid excess condensation, which can cause the food to spoil faster. Most recipes will last up to 4 days in the refrigerator
All of these slow cooker dinner recipes are worthy of becoming a weeknight favorite or a simple Sunday supper. Your crockpot is an important tool that not only cooks your food to perfection, but also allows you the freedom to come out of the kitchen and spend time on other things. I hope these recipes help to fill your belly and satisfy your family!
